WHAT WILL I STUDY?
As part of our Football & Degree Programme, you’ll be studying BA (Hons) Sports Coaching with Performance Sport at Buckinghamshire New University (BNU). As an award-winning university with state-of-the-art facilities and cutting-edge sports research tools, BNU is the perfect place to nurture your education and allow you to excel in a career in the sporting world.
Alongside your degree, you’ll be taking part in a football programme to elevate your performance and skills like never before. With weekly training, elite coaching and competitive matches, you’ll have the opportunity to grow as an athlete whilst studying for an internationally-recognised sports degree.
Our programme costs also include accommodation and a full board meal service, allowing you to focus on your academic and athletic development.
COURSE OUTLINE
The course introduces you to performance sport and includes a special focus on scientific research and various techniques employed in the improvement of physical performance. It is designed to open doors to postgraduate study in sports performance careers in elite sports coaching or other support roles. Core modules throughout the three-year degree programme consist of:

BNU offers a university foundation year for students who haven't met the standard entry requirements. This is an extra year of study before the main degree program, designed to help students develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed for higher-level studies. Students on the foundation year course will have full access to the football programme.

ELIGIBILITY
This programme is designed for aspiring high level players who meet the following criteria:
Domestic students (U.K residents):
UCAS tariff score of 88+
Foundation Year - UCAS tariff score 32+
International students:

As well as meeting academic conditions, you will need to be of a required footballing ability to take part in this programme. During the application process, we assess football ability via trials, video submissions and scout/partner referrals.
FEES
University Tuition Fees:
Domestic students (U.K residents)
£9,535 per year
International students
£15,150 per year
Other fees:
Football Programme Fee - £10,000 per year
Accommodation, Food, Transport Fee - £10,750 per year
Self-funded international students are eligible for the Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship. £1,500 will be deducted from tuition fees in the first and second years, and £2,000 in the third year. The scholarship is subject to attendance and academic progress and is applied automatically—no application required.
